As if things couldn't’ get worse I suffered a stroke.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Facing multiple complications my doctors gave up on me and they told me there was nothing more they could do unless I was willing to undergo exploratory surgery.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;After reviewing all of my health conditions, I knew if I wasn’t going to accept the present prognosis, I would have to search in a new direction for a solution.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;I recognized that my journey would be difficult.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Anyone could see that this was not going to be a quick cure but giving up was not an option.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;    &lt;p style="font-family: verdana;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"&gt;In 2003, I moved to &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Atlanta&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:City&gt; it was a life changing decision.&lt;span style=""&gt;   &lt;/span&gt;I had been out of work for years due to my illnesses.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;I decided that I would have to take a more active role in my recovery.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;It was my time for me to relish in the goodness of life and abandon my defeatist outlook.&lt;span style=""&gt;   &lt;/span&gt;Another miracle occurred when I was presented with and then accepted a job with a wellness doctor in &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Atlanta&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:City&gt; and before I knew it my health begin to drastically improve.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;After more than a year into my healing process, I received a stunning blow…Breast Cancer. Instead of the traditional route of chemo or radiation, I accepted wellness into my mind and body.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Everyday, I would affirm that my body is whole and I am healed.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;      &lt;p style="font-family: verdana;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"&gt;My health crisis could have derailed me personally and professionally, but instead I used it as a wake-up call to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life. Creating productive health strategies in my own life has helped me regain my health. It is these strategies that I want to share with others. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Verdana&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black;"&gt;For those who like to drink cold water, take this in to concentration. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. For me, that one person was my chiropractor.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Not only did he make me feel welcome in my new position, but he gave me opportunity to work, heal and information to be able to help others.  If each of us had someone like him that they could look to for advice and help, they might not feel so discouraged and overwhelmed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;  &lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 7.5pt 0in; background: white none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); line-height: 150%;"&gt;We all need to make an effort to help others through formal or informal mentoring. Even if you only have time to eat lunch together, take a walk or just some fun conversation. This can help provide the encouragement that one might need.  So, pass on your knowledge - I know you have a lot of it - and help someone prepare for a day to look forward to.
